This monoclonal antibody enables sensitive and specific detection of rat IgG2a in e.g. ELISA and ELISpot.

The antibody is specific for rat IgG2a. There is no cross-reactivity (<0.1%) with rat IgG1, IgG2b, IgG2c, IgA, IgM, IgE, or with IgG from mouse, cow, rabbit, horse, goat, human, monkey, cat or dog.

We recommend MT171A1 as capture antibody in rat IgG2a ELISA and ELISpot in combination with biotinylated detection antibody MT168B1. See Related products.

IgG2aIgG (Immunoglobulin G) is the most abundant Ig isotype in serum and makes up approximately 80% of all serum Immunoglobulins. In mice, the IgG subclasses are defined IgG1, IgG2a/c, IgG2b and IgG3.The IgG2a allele is expressed in e.g. Balb/c mice.
